Clear answers for crafting your dream swimming pool

Every project is unique, but most residential concrete or liner pools we build take between eight and twelve weeks from the first day on site to the initial swim. The schedule covers excavation, shell construction, plumbing, electrical work, tiling or liner installation, filtration setup and commissioning. Weather, access and custom features such as infinity edges, spas or automated covers may extend the timeframe. During the design stage we provide a detailed programme so you know exactly what to expect.

Yes. Whether your pool suffers from cracked tiles, outdated finishes or inefficient equipment, our team can transform it into a modern, energy-smart leisure space. After an on-site inspection we recommend the most cost-effective route, which might include resurfacing, new liners, upgraded filtration, LED lighting or adding a heating system and automated cover. Because every refurbishment is different, we supply a phased schedule and transparent pricing so you understand the scope, timeline and investment before work begins.

Our pricing is fully itemised and based on three factors: pool size and form, chosen finishes and features, and site-specific considerations such as access or ground conditions. After discussing your wish-list, we create a concept drawing and preliminary budget. A free site visit then lets us confirm levels, services and any structural requirements before issuing a fixed quotation. This process removes surprises and allows you to adjust specifications early, ensuring the final investment aligns with your expectations.

Our site visit is complimentary and forms a crucial part of the quotation process. We assess access for machinery, ground conditions, existing services and orientation to maximise sunlight and energy efficiency. Measurements are taken, photographs recorded and your design preferences discussed in detail. The information gathered allows us to refine drawings, select appropriate construction methods and produce an accurate, fixed-price proposal. You will also receive a provisional programme and answers to any remaining technical or aesthetic questions.

We integrate industry-leading smart technology to make pool ownership effortless. Options include app-controlled filtration and heating, automatic chemical dosing, variable-speed pumps, retractable covers, underwater LED colour scenes and voice-activated lighting. These systems monitor water quality in real time and adjust settings to maintain optimum conditions while reducing energy costs. During design we demonstrate compatible products and explain running-cost savings, allowing you to select the level of automation that matches your lifestyle and budget.

Energy efficiency is considered from the first sketch. We specify high-performance insulation, variable-speed circulation pumps, inverter heat pumps or solar heating, and LED lighting as standard. A well-positioned automatic cover traps heat and reduces evaporation, while smart controls schedule filtration during off-peak tariffs. Together, these measures noticeably lower energy use and operating costs compared with traditional setups. At quotation stage we explain projected savings so you can decide which upgrades deliver the best return on investment.

In most domestic settings, a pool falls under permitted development, but certain locations, listed buildings or conservation areas may require planning consent. During our initial consultation we review your site constraints, local authority guidance and any covenant restrictions. If an application is needed, we can prepare scaled drawings, specification notes and supporting documentation for submission, liaising with your architect where appropriate. Our goal is to streamline the process and keep your project on schedule while ensuring full compliance.

While we do not offer weekly maintenance packages, we provide thorough handover training and optional annual servicing to keep your pool running smoothly. During commissioning we walk you through water testing, equipment operation and simple troubleshooting. For clients who prefer professional care, we can recommend trusted maintenance specialists in your area. Additionally, our phone and email support is available for any technical queries, ensuring you always have expert guidance even after the construction team has left.

Lead times fluctuate with seasonal demand, but we typically schedule refurbishment projects four to eight weeks after contract signing. This window allows time to order specialist materials, organise trades and secure any required permits. If your pool is leaking or unsafe we will do our best to prioritise the work. Once dates are confirmed we provide a clear programme outlining milestones, anticipated completion and payment stages, helping you coordinate landscaping, entertainment plans and other home improvements.

After completion we return for a courtesy visit once the pool has been in operation for a few weeks, allowing us to fine-tune equipment and answer any emerging questions. All specialist equipment is supplied with manufacturer warranties, and we keep digital records of serial numbers and manuals for your convenience. Should you decide to upgrade, add features or carry out seasonal servicing in the future, our team will already be familiar with your installation and requirements.
